Cat Glover, a talented artist who once danced and choreographed for the late singer Prince, died.
"It’s with great sadness that we formally announce the passing of Catherine Vernice Glover- AKA 'Cat,'" according to a Tuesday post made on the "Official Cat Glover" Facebook page.
"Please allow her children, family and friends privacy at this difficult time," the post reads, adding that a further statement will be released "in due course."
The details surrounding Glover's death were not immediately available. Funeral services for Glover, who died in September, will be announced in the coming days. The 62-year-old was found unresponsive in her Los Angeles home, according to reporting by the Chicago Sun Times.
"Dance with the Angels, we love you," the post said.

Who was Cat Glover?
Glover skyrocketed to fame in the late 1980s after one groovy encounter with Prince at a club. He asked her to dance with him to "Simply Irresistible" by Robert Palmer.
"I was wearing cowboy boots and a pair of Levi's jeans. He reached to hold my hands while we were dancing, but, I had leather gloves on, so, I couldn't feel anything, Glover shared in a 2013 blog interview. "He started doing dance steps and I started doing them; whatever he did, I did. I think he noticed that, so, he started doing them more and I started doing them more."
That was the night, according to Glover, that "it all started."
She worked closely with Prince after, singing, dancing and choreographing for various projections including the 1987 “Sign o’ the Times” tour and concert film and the 1988 “Lovesexy” tour, the Sun Times reported. Glover also coined the "Cat Scat," a dance move that made its debut on “Star Search” in 1986, according to the Sun Times.
Internet gives flowers, mourns loss of Cat Glover
Tributes for Glover poured in after the news broke, with many Prince fans taking to social media to reminisce and give the multi-hyphenate her flowers after a prosperous career.
Paisley Park, one of Prince's former estates, made a tribute post for Glover last week, writing on social media that she would be "truly missed."
"Today we honor the life and legacy of the incredible Cat Glover, who graced the stage as one of Prince’s most electrifying dancers. A true artist in every sense, Cat lived life to the fullest and loved with all her heart," according to the statement. "She brought joy, energy, and passion to everything she touched, and her spirit will live on through the music, memories, and love she shared with the world."
