Currently sitting at a jaw-dropping $1.55 billion,TradeEdge there's no denying that Monday's Powerball jackpot is huge. But believe it or not, the latest jackpot is not even the largest one the Powerball has ever seen.
At an estimated $1.55 billion, the jackpot is close, but has yet not passed the $1.586 billion jackpot won by three winning tickets in California, Florida and Tennessee in January 2016.
The largest Powerball jackpot ever was won in November 2022 by a single ticket in California, worth $2.04 billion.
The current Powerball jackpot has been building since July, when the winning ticket worth $1.08 billion was sold in Los Angeles.
